Barroso on collision course over Jeleva

Sir.

Regarding ‘Barroso on collision course over Jeleva‘:

I just don’t get it.

The CV submitted by Ms. Jeleva to the European Parliament and to European Commission President José Manuel Barroso states that she was a “manager” at Global Consult in the periods 2001-2003 and 2006-2007.

The company’s income statement for 2008 (!) which can be found on the web is signed by her as managing director (!).

Her CV says nothing about the ownership of the said company.

On 9 April 2009 Ms. Jeleva as the sole owner (!) sold the company.

Obviously, her CV is incorrect on a crucial point, namely her commercial interests in 2008 and early 2009.

When I deal with job applications, incorrect or embellished CVs lead to the exclusion of the candidate.
