Regarding ‘Lawyer: Bulgaria wrongly portrayed as EU’s bogeyman‘:
We have a saying in Romania that “the neighbor’s goat should die too!” That is exactly what Andreas Geiger is saying.
Instead of looking into problems and finding solutions, it is much easier to find a comparison and say: “Look, he is performing worse than me, that means I’m not that bad”.
The sad thing is that somebody is paying for this. What Mr. Geiger forgets in his argument is to look into the measures taken by Romania and the anti-corruption plans it has proposed.
Lawyers have a lazy way of thinking in that they only look into past actions to try and find proof of something. They miss the essential part of the picture, which is what they can sometimes be very bad lobbyists!
